Services
& rates
Hourly rate of $105 during regular hours, materials extra and billed at cost plus 15% — it's on the estimate. Free on-site estimate for any project over $500. Taxes extra.
No natural gas: for a gas hookup, we refer you to a certified colleague in the area rather than improvise.
Leaking right now?
Shut off the main water valve, then call. We'll walk you through it on the phone while the truck is on its way — it's free and often saves a floor.
Burst pipe, failed seal, dripping ceiling. We stop the water, repair it, document it for your insurance.
Basement drain backing up: mechanical clearing and camera inspection to find the cause.
Controlled thawing without an open flame torch, then insulating the faulty section so it doesn’t happen again.
Water heater leaking or dead: repair or same-day replacement, models in stock.
The company
The price I quote on the phone is the price on the invoice.
A graduate of CFP Québec in plumbing and heating, Martin spent twelve years on commercial job sites before starting his own business in 2006. He mostly works in homes in the area, often for clients who have been calling him for fifteen years.
Two trucks on the road: Martin and Kevin, his apprentice journeyman for five years. No subcontracting, no salesperson showing up first. The person who gives you the price is the one who does the work.
Our promises
Five promises, in writing
- 1 Written estimate before any work. Detailed, valid 30 days. If we find something else once the wall is open, we stop and call you.
- 2 Two-hour appointment windows. No “sometime today”: 8 to 10 AM, 10 AM to noon, and a call 30 minutes before arrival.
- 3 Two-year labour warranty. Plus the manufacturer's warranty on parts. If it happens again, we come back at no charge.
- 4 We leave with our own mess. Drop cloths, shop vac, old parts loaded into the truck.
- 5 Callback within two hours. On weekdays, any message left before 4 PM gets a same-day response.
Avoiding the emergency
Four free habits that save us work — and save you a water-damage bill.
Disconnect outdoor hoses and shut the inside valve. The number-one cause of burst pipes in January.
Below -25°C, a thin trickle of cold water at the exterior wall faucet keeps the line from freezing. Costs a few cents.
Drain two buckets from the bottom valve to remove scale, and check under the tank. A water heater over 12 years old should be replaced before it fails.
Cooking grease, 'flushable' wipes and dental floss: responsible for half of our clog calls.
Find it today, not during the flood. Usually in the basement, on the street side, near the meter.
