How It Works
From subscribing to running your site day-to-day — every step, with real screenshots of the site.
1. How the subscription works
You choose a plan (Standard, Pro or Pro+), a billing cycle (monthly, yearly or 3 years — longer, more economical), and a support tier. It all happens in 5 simple steps, with no hidden commitment.
The Plans page: choose your currency (USD/CAD/EUR) and billing cycle before comparing the 3 plans.
Each plan lists exactly what it includes. Click "Choose this plan" to start signing up.
Step 1 of 5: confirm the plan, choose your support tier (email included, priority email or phone, at extra cost), then your business type.
Step 2: your business information (name, owner, address) — it will appear directly on your site.
The 5 steps at a glance
- Plan — confirm the plan, support tier and business type.
- Information — business name, owner, address.
- Account — your email and password to access management.
- Domain — choose a free subdomain, or register your own domain.
- Payment — secure payment via Stripe. Your site is online immediately after.
2. Which plan is right for you?
The three plans don't target the same need. Here's who each one is really for, and why you'd pick it over another.
To get started, simply
You want to be found online, with no complexity.
- You're starting out or testing your online presence without a big upfront investment.
- A single page is enough to present your business: hours, contact, what you offer.
- You want a working site quickly, without heavy design decisions.
- You prefer keeping your costs low while you validate your business.
For a more established image
Your business has grown, your site needs to keep up.
- Your business has several sides to present separately (About, Services, Hours) — a multi-page site organizes the information better.
- You want the site to reflect your brand colors (design customization).
- A single page no longer convinces your visitors.
- You're ready to invest a bit more for a site that looks more professional.
To sell online
Your site becomes a real sales channel.
- You sell products and want to sell them online — cart and Stripe payments built in, the money goes straight into YOUR account.
- You want to offer discounts and promo codes to drive sales.
- You need to track your orders and see your sales stats.
The support tier (email included, priority email or phone) is chosen independently of your plan — available as an add-on on Standard, Pro and Pro+ alike, not just the higher plans.

3. Choosing your template
The "business type" you choose in step 1 determines your site’s base template — 45+ sectors are available (convenience store, restaurant, hair salon, garage, etc.), each designed specifically for that type of business.
The search field filters the 45+ business types as you type just a few letters.
Some business types offer several visual variants for the same sector (for example, two different hair salon styles). If that's the case for your choice, a window lets you select the one you prefer before continuing — you can also browse all public demos from the Businesses.
4. The management area: overview
Each site has its own management area (back-office), accessed by logging in with the email and password created in step 3 of sign-up. The left-hand menu adapts to your plan — the higher your plan, the more tools you have.
Administrative Information, Account, Domain — the essentials for managing your online presence. Site content (text, images) is edited directly on the page, in edit mode (next section).
Everything in Standard, plus the Design section: site colors and visual customization.
Everything in Pro, plus the full online store: Catalog, Promotions, Testimonials, Orders and Sales Stats.

5. Editing a page (edit mode)
The "Edit my page" button in the left menu opens your public site in edit mode. No technical knowledge required: click any text or image to edit it directly, just like a document.
The "Edit mode" bar at the top confirms you’re editing the live site. Navigate between the site’s pages (if your plan has several) via the "Pages" tab.
Clicking a heading or paragraph makes it directly editable, with a dashed outline showing the editable area. Type your new text, click elsewhere: it's saved.
What you can edit in edit mode
- All text: headings, paragraphs, buttons, menus.
- Images: click an image to replace it with your own.
- Lists (services, hours, etc.): add or remove items.
- Click "Done" in the top right when you’re finished — changes are already saved as you go.
6. Pro+: adding products
Pro+The Pro+ plan includes a full online store. Before selling, connect your own Stripe account in the Catalog section: your customers' money goes directly into YOUR Stripe account, never EspaceCommerce's.
A step-by-step guide is available directly in this section if you don't have a Stripe account yet.
Your products are listed with their price and category. Drag the handle to reorder the display — the order updates automatically. Bulk CSV import is also available.
"+ Add a product" opens a simple form: name, category, price, optional badge (e.g. New, Popular) and description.
7. Pro+: adding promotions
Pro+Create promo codes for your store: percentage or fixed-amount discounts, applicable to the whole cart or specific products only, with an expiry date.
Each coupon shows its code, discount and expiry date. "+ Add a promotion" opens the creation form.
8. Testimonials
Your customers' reviews build visitor trust. Add them manually — quote, customer name, optional photo — and they appear automatically on your site's home page.
A simple form: the customer’s quote, their name (e.g. "Camille T., customer since 2019") and an optional photo.
