Site survey, a scaled 2D plan, choice of materials and plants. The plan is yours to keep, even if you build it elsewhere.
Paver installation
Driveway, walkway, patio. Compacted 0-¾ stone base in layers, polymeric sand, anchored edging.
Retaining walls and stone stairs
Architectural blocks or natural stone, drainage behind the wall, granite or precast concrete steps.
Wood deck and patio
Treated hemlock, cedar or composite, on screw piles. Railing, steps and storage under the deck.
Garden beds and planting
Trees, shrubs, perennials and grasses chosen for zone 4-5, actual sun exposure and your tolerance for upkeep.
Sod and seeding
Sod for an instant result, hydroseeding for large areas. Topsoil added first.
Pool landscaping
The entire surround of an in-ground pool: pavers, retaining wall, staircase, code-compliant fencing, grading and chlorine-tolerant plants.
Outdoor lighting
Low-voltage LED along paths, walls and trees. Timer and photocell, buried wiring.
Irrigation systems
Separate zones for lawn and beds, smart controller, compressed-air winterizing every fall.
Drainage and grading
Slopes toward the street, French drain, sump pit, fixing lots that drain back toward the foundation. Often the first thing to address.

Four projects · sector and work performed
New construction, blank slate
Clay soil left as-is by the builder, with no drainage. We redid the entire grading before installing anything.
Backyard redone after 25 years
Rotten old deck, dandelion-covered lawn, a cedar hedge yellowed on one side. We cleared everything and started fresh from the ground up.
Wood deck and dining area
A large flat lot, but nowhere to sit outside. The owners wanted to eat outdoors without sitting in wet grass.
In-ground pool landscaping
After the contractor installed the pool, a dirt crater remained. We built the entire surround, fencing and access.
Year-round maintenance
A seasonal contract, the same crew visiting on the same day each week, and an email report after every visit.

How it works
Free, 45 to 60 minutes. We measure, look at slopes, soil and machinery access, and listen to what you want to do outside.
Within 10 business days: a scaled plan and a line-by-line quote naming quantities and materials. Valid for 60 days.
20% deposit at signing, which reserves your calendar spot. The balance is paid in two installments: mid-project and at completion.
Two weeks before, we confirm your start date and number of days. A foreman is assigned, with a direct cell number.
The same foreman from start to finish. Site swept and materials stored every evening, machinery on mats to protect the lawn.
5 years on paver and wall work, 1 year on trees and shrubs, 90 days on sod and perennials. Follow-up visit at week 6.
