Sam Bergeron
Eighteen years in the trade. Sam learned from an old-school 3rd Avenue barber who refused appointments and cut with comb and scissors, period. He opened Le Cinquième Fauteuil in 2016 with the same rule: no one leaves with a cut they didn't ask for.
Specialty: razor fades and traditional shaves. He also trains two apprentices — $20 cuts on Tuesdays if you want to give it a try.
How it works
Walk-in
Come in, give your name, sit down. The board at the entrance shows the real wait time.
Appointment
Online anytime or by phone. Pick your barber if you have one.
Gift cards
Any amount, or The Works package, old-school printed card. No expiry date.
Products
Pomades, beard oils and brushes, including two brands made in Quebec City. We'll show you how to use them.
Free touch-up
Edges and neckline redone free of charge within 10 days of your cut.
Hours
Last spot given 30 minutes before closing. Saturday morning, get there early — it's the rush.
